Ours is an organization brought into existence in the year 1996 by a group of young but professional entrepreneurs from Ladakh. We created a platform for the curious travelers who are enchanted by the sheer attraction of mighty Himalayas. Wisdom extends their services to introduce them with the vast geography, beautiful people, the rich culture and age old traditions of the Himalayas, thus creating a positive image about India's unity and its diversity.

Our organization is managed by highly professional people from Ladakh and Himachal, who have an in-depth understanding of Himalayan people and customs, which in turn help us to formulate tours and treks which are positively sensitive to the area and its people. Thus the traveler can return home enriched by the experiences that go beyond those of the ordinary tourist, which is the reward for our services.

First of all, we have over 15 years of personal experience in the tour business. We are based in Ladakh and also maintain state of the art office in Delhi. This second part is important for several reasons:

1. As you know, Ladakh only allow locals to operate within their regions. This means that no matter what travel company you come through, if you are booking a tour for Ladakh, Local Excursion Agent is the last service provider. Since we are a local agent, but also have our own office in Delhi (available 24/7), we can help you eliminate any "middle men."
   
   
2. If you book through us, you will also benefit the local Himalayan people directly. All the services and manpower we use are strictly locally based. That means local guides, horse men, porters, homes, hotels, village vegetable vendors, provision vendors, and taxi drivers, to name a few. Your business then directly and indirectly flows to all the local families of the people who are involved in your tour. Ladakh's tourist season is dream-like short. The income that is earned during this time is all that most villagers will have to sustain them through the harsh 7-8 months of winter.
